Founder Andrejus Civilis worked 10-plus years as a financial controller for larger companies, but found that big businesses were slow to accept innovation. The bigger and more corporate the company, the more they seemed to rely on archaic paper processes instead of more reliable and efficient cloud accounting. Rather than passively following the status quo, Andrejus founded his own accounting firm in 2014, and has dedicated the company to helping small businesses and startups realize their dreams.

Founder Andrejus Civilis, CPA, CMA, isn’t your typical accountant—he doesn’t spend all of his time staring at numbers from behind a desk. When he’s not working, you’re more likely to find Andrejus scaling a hill on his mountain bike, hiking, skiing, or sailing around the Carribean. His love for exploring the unknown led him to make a bold move after a decade-plus in the corporate world—quitting his job to start his own business. Now, he's bringing innovation to the accounting industry and collaborating with inspiring entrepreneurs who share his passion for making a difference in the world.

Mariana Pontes

Mariana expertly manages clients' books while also delivering exceptional customer support.

Mariana Pontes is an Accountant at Element CPA with more than five years of experience in the financial sector. Prior to relocating to Canada, she spent nearly seven years in China, earning a Finance degree from a top-tier institution. During her time there, she honed her intercultural competencies and gained valuable experience in the controlling department of an F500 company. Now based in Ontario, Mariana is on the path to becoming a CPA, leveraging her passion for customer support and data analysis at Element CPA.

In her free time, Mariana indulges in her love for travel, language acquisition, and cultural immersion. She fluently speaks five languages, has resided on four continents, and has explored over 40 countries.

Mark Sanoria

Mark leverages his experience to efficiently organize clients' books.

Mark brings a wealth of experience in bookkeeping and accounting to Element CPA. With a strong foundation in financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements, he ensures that books are accurate, organized, and delivered on time. Mark is also well-versed in online accounting systems and adaptable to evolving tools and processes.

Known for his attention to detail and problem-solving mindset, Mark works seamlessly with clients and teams to provide reliable financial support. His international experience adds both technical expertise and practical business insight to his role.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends.
